Yes this is the statement we released to our dealers from head office.
However it is not a non Motion all metal
And it is NOT made in Dubai.
Send an e mail durectly to XP and I will answer you the same.

So Why Send such info to Dealers if it is Not True ?

As For Regtons they are The Main Importers of XP machines and have been ever since XP came on the market and they are Also the Main Distributors of ALL XP Products throughout the UK. They also said that it was designed by XP and Built In Dubai.

Do you work for XP Actually in France ? or are you In the US,?

I'll bet a good lunch at my favorite mexican restaurant in Globe AZ that it isn't made in Dubai. Emirates has direct flights from several US cities, Dubai is nice and is a great place to find gold - the Dubai gold market - don't prospect though, the guys with submachime guns frown on it.

Anything that XP produces - be it for teh worldwide market or a localized market - is made in France at the XP factory. Too much counterfeiting going on and sub-par quality units if you farm production out to someone else. There is a reason that everything XP has is in-house and that is it . . . so no, it is NOT made in Dubai - sold yes but not made

Send an e mail directly to XP and I will answer you the same.

Thank you for Clearing that up for us,,,

Regardless of the minor things we should just be grateful that XP are still pushing the boundaries, Just when you think you have seen it all they bring out something new

Thanks again Gary.

THIS THREAD HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
========================================================[/size]

Closing this thread is not intended to stifle discussions but the question about the DPR 600 marketed to the African gold market has been answered in detail.

The unit is being marketed by one of XP's distributors that caters to a niche market; i.e.. the African gold market. Other manufacturers have seen the potential in that market for gold detectors and have capitalized on it as has XP with the Gold Field program that has been on the Deus since V3.X was released.

The unit is a "stripped down" version of the Deus . . . . it looks like it because it uses the same components but the electronics are different. The coil is wireless but there are no wireless headphones that come with it or are an accessory for it. It has ONE program - the Gold Field - and there is no ability to update it / add more programs again as you can with the Deus. If you have a Deus now, you already have the DPR 600 plus the features that the DPR 600 does not have. If they offer the unit in the US or other areas, why woudl you buy it if you already have a detector that can be updated to the latest software and done at no cost?

It is made in France at the same XP Factory that builds the Deus . . it is not made in Dubai or any of the other countries that have been bantered about. XP farms nothing out including the DPR 600.

Let's be sensible here . . . since Depar Detectors also sells the Deus, why would they sell a model that even comes close to the Deus at almost 50% less? Do you think that XP would sell a model to one of their distributors that offers the same performance at that much of a price difference? Simple answer . . . it is NOT a Deus and does not offer any functionality that V3.2 does not and in fact lacks much of the versatility that the Deus currently provides, let alone what V4.0 brings to the table.

So this thread has run its course and the question that started it has been answered in spades . . . . . no one is missing out on the deal of the century by not being able to get the DPR 600 but if you still feel that way, there's a deal that you might not want to let slip away . . . . . . :beers:
