2 Much Trash

I just bought the Nel sharpshooter coil for my T2. Took it out this weekend for a couple hours to an old pounded spot just to get the feel of it before relic hunting season gets underway. I wasn't concerned about it's separating abilities, but did have concerns about its depth capabilities. Most of the posts and videos concerning this coil is based on coin hunting in local parks and tot lots but not much on using it for relic hunting, so depth was a little concern. Well, I'm not too worried about that anymore. I took it to a well hunted spot that we've pounded to death for well over a year. I've not dug many targets at all at this spot more than 7" deep. I guess because of power lines, telephone lines and so much iron trash. I just got a new Deteknix pinpointer also and it's just a tad over 9". The targets you see here, other than the camp lead and percussion caps, were all deeper than the pinpointer, and that's no bull. So if any of you guys are looking to purchase this coil to use on the T2 for relic hunting, don't be too concerned about its depth. It does a good job on this machine.
