depth readings

What, if any affect does lowering the sensitivity have on the depth meter. I know that lower sensitivity will reduce depth, but does that give false depth estimates?

If anything it improves the reading. The machine isnt trying to hit targets too deep to ID and those small surface targets arent giveing false depth readings. The machine has to filter MORE soil and targets the deeper it attempts to read targets.
