Depth report on 12/14 F75 Ltd2 disappointed

I tested my new F75 today against a friend of mines F75 ltd ( non upgraded) that he bought in Nov. Our setting were disc BP 99 sens 0 discr 2F. Ground balanced them both. Sat them on the ground on a piece of cardboard marked to 19". We used a 69 cal CW bullet.
Upgraded F75 9.0 12.5"
Non upgraded 14"
Same setting in AM
Ltd2 13
Ltd 16"
There was no problem telling that his machine was quite a bit deeper than mine. That really disappoints me. I relic hunt only and most of the stuff around here is really deep. I had a camo F75 that I have dug some really deep bullets w it. I am positive that it was deeper than my new one. I compare it to my sons AT Pro and it was hitting the bullet at a solid 11" And it cost half the money!! Just wanted to VENT!! I'm going to compare mine to the reading that were post on some coins on a previous post and see how mine compares to them.
One thing I can say is my machine is really quite. Thanks for reading/listening!

Remember, your EMI free machine WILL see things his can't. Just saying.

I would think usable depth settings on a machine is better than a noisy unable to detect targets machine due to emi etc.??????????????????????????:heh:

I agree Elton but where I hunt EMI isn't a issue unless I'm close to another detector. I hunted all day yesterday w digital shield off. I would rather have the depth of my old 75 vs my new one w DS off and less depth. Where we hunt for relics now everything is at the limits of a detectors depth. All of the easy stuff has been found. I called Fisher before I bought mine and was told that there wouldn't be any depth loss w the DS on. The only thing the DS would effect would be that the target response times would be slightly slower. I bought 2 at the same time from Bart. I'm going to compare mine to the other one I bought and see how it performs against mine.

If you been detecting a few years most targets are in the 7" to 8" range some silver coins yep 11' to 12' but over all around 7 to 8" I would rather have a machine like the G2+ were the Dic can be cut by 1 seg at a time get rid of a lot of junk pull tabs so on. i might loose a few gold rings in the area of dis but set it up just for gold. Then coin or silver hunt so on . with a good depth of 10"

Ok I compared the two I bought and they about the same. But both were deeper in disc mode vs AM. I really hate that because I prefer AM mode. They are picking a quarter up at about 11" in AM 99 sens
