some of their users have said they might go a tad deeper than the Explorer?
I see that the Tesoro Silver U-Max is almost as deep at the Sovereign. I have heard from a first hand experienced user that he got very good depth from that machine.

I wonder how the Explorer would fare against the Nautilus IIb if it were added to the mix. I'd consider buying an Explorer as I'm intrigued by it, but not if it doesn't have Nautilus or similar depth. Comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

in my Michigan soil at least in my coin garden. It was for all intents and purposes pretty much equal in depth in the coin garden.

I had an Elite and they definitely go deep but I feel my SE goes deeper for sure but of course the Explorers advantage isn't that it goes deeper it's that it ID's at depth.
