Hello I have had my T2 for two years and I can not figure out how to find the depth of a target, I thought that you are suppose to see the depth when you use the pinpoint BUT I DO NOT SEE IT, what am I doing wrong????

You should see it..If not send it in.....
John

That dont sound good. When you try to pinpoint do you get the sound throught your headphones like your getting closer to the object, if not sounds like you might have a bad pinpoint trigger. Either way will have to be sent for repairs. Tom

You've got a bad pp trigger switch.----Best to call FT rather than email them--you may wait "forever" for a response to an email.----If the detector is under warranty, they will give you an RA # (to send the detector in).--------Del

When the t2 finds a target I check the target from tow directions then I pull the trigger to find the spot of the target, I only here the same sound and I do not get a depth # on the screen. I never paid attention to the depth in the past but now that I have been detecting more often I thought that I have been doing something wrong because I don,t see a depth #

It may be your trigger isn't engaging the pinpoint mode..could be as simple as a wire off, or loose wire.

Thank you for all the help I called First Texas today and got an RA # I guess I pay to send it to them and they pay to send it back after it is fixed

Yep, that's the way it works tdtbone (as long as you're in the U.S. & the detector is under warranty).

Just got my T2 back from Texas :detecting: tried it out air test works good, I will get it out this weekend my brother in law lost his ring in the yard so I will go find it for him. :)

Did not have a lot of time only detected at a small kids park found 39 cents but the t2 is working correctly now depth and pinpoint are working good:clapping: But I did find a 14k bracelet dumpster diving this morning with a bag of $5.00 worth of change.

That dumpster diving stuff sounds like fun. I love to look through stuff and see what I can find that appeals to me. I have seen some really nice things come out of a heap of trash. It is amazing what some people throw away! Glad your detector is working correctly now.

As a former military medical person in charge of microbiological and sanitation for military bases I will give my opinion of dumpster finds:
Money
Jewelry
Clothing
HIV
Hepatitis
Tuberculosis
Staph
Strep
and about 100+ other contagions...............
