Hey Cragar; Never heard of Otterbein In. That's a new one on me. Been detecting since 1980, though I laid off for several years. Now I'm back with my new Mine Lab Safire. Mostly like the beaches on Lake Michigan but, go anywhere. Thanks for replying....Jimmy

Never really done any beach hunting but have wanted to try. I mostly hunt for old coins and relics. Been using the minelab ctx and etrac for about 3 years. Just waiting for the weather to cool off so I can get back out and dig something up.

Was at Lake Michigan beach this morning. I just can't get my safari to pinpoint. It kind of does in about a 6inch area.. Maybe it just don't like beaches. Got to think about this as the beach is where most rings are found.....
