I'm new to this so humor me. I finally went to a location I'd researched for a while. It was ruins from a train station from a line abandoned since the 60s. It was an old line so I hoped to find coins from the early 1900s. The problem? It was nothing but a tangled mess of trees, saplings, weeds, vines and bushes. I could barely get into the area let alone detect. I was tempted to return with a weed whipper and sickle. It's now along a local scenic trail so I'm not sure that would be a good idea.
