Detecting spots

I will be visiting the N.D and S.D from Canada. I would like to know the the places I can detect. I am aware that all National Parks are off limits and some State Parks and all heritage sites. Is there other places I cannot go? I am thinking about the Black Hills / Rapid City area and places in between.
 
but on where you can dtect that should be safe. depending on what your looking for....schools or old schools...empty fields---public parks.etc.good luck on wherever you decide to go
 
They who live in SD & ND should be able to help you on where you can detect, but I'm sure most city and county parks (best to ask permission or get info on them) school yards and maybe even churches but you need to find out first if it is okay! Search the Internet of the cities you want to go to and find out what areas are available and then email or write them and ask about whether they allow detecting or not! :blink: :)

I'm from Manitoba. It is South Dakota were we are planning to go. South Carolina is too far at the price of gas these days lol
 
Rapid City should be OK. I think some of the Black Hills may be a park but not sure. Make sure you don't get on ndian Reservation Land. That would be big trouble if you get arrested there by the Indian Police, as they have their own and do not take kindly to other than Indians poking around on their land. Good luck.

Nice coin bottlecap! In the pic of the front of the 5 cent piece it looks like there is a double imprint on the 5 cents Canada 1912! Is the coin really showing double stamp or is your camera out of focus while taking a pic of the front? Back looks normal though! If you do have a double printing then you may have a very expensive coin! :blink:

I was planing to go to s.d. this summer,i believe there are some great spots to search in the two states . good luck
