Detecting with Sally Mander

GKMan

Well-known member
My friend Sally Mander and I weren't going to let a little rain stop us from getting out detecting. In fact, Sally seems to prefer the wet weather.
She killed it today with the new 4 millimeter sniper coil that she is using. She does need some help with the recovery though. Doesn't she look proud? She takes a pretty good photo of me too.
I'll have to look up the button most likely Navy with the anchor. And I think we're looking at a large cent later vintage. I almost threw it back since it wasn't a draped bust, but I'm always sure to positively ID something before I toss it back.
Update
It appears to be an 1820 -1830 Navy coat button and a 1853 large cent

It's good to have a detecting buddy. It looks like Sally is saying hands off these are mine.
