The DETECTOR PROTECTOR - EMI / RFI Interference FILTER
Has anyone used or is anyone using it? If so Doe's it work or help in any way?

This is what they say about it.

Shield your Metal Detector
from the effects of EMI / RFI

Stop digging dry holes. Immunize your Metal Detector from the effects of stray environmental EMI / RFI.
Erratic and false readings can be caused by electrical noise and surges picked up by the search coil and cable acting like an antenna.

EMI and RFI (ElectroMagnetic & Radio Frequency Interference) can reduce your detector's sensitivity and cause reading errors. Suppression of external electrical and electronic noise allows you to crank up your Metal Detector's sensitivity control for higher gain and deeper scanning. Get more reliable and accurate readings.

Its a ferrite choke
YES I have used them on VLF detectors, PC monitors, RF cables etc
if there is strong EMI that is causeing interference to your MD, chatter etc,
it may or may not help reduce it
its a matter of try it and see if there is any difference, fit it on cable close to control box.
There are many forms of EMI, I have used up to 4 on a MD.

A few members of our club have bought some,a complete waste of time about sums it up really, they are just 'ferrite rings' and can be bought for a fraction of the amount of what is showing on that packaging.

I tried one, didn't help one bit.
