Went to a detector rally at the beginning of September near to Corfe Castle in Dorset. Knew it would be an unusual event at the outset, as Dave Emery was visiting from the US, and Mark Pauls from Denmark. There were around 30 detectorists hunting for Roman coins primarily, which had turned up before in this area. It wasn

Does this mean were getting closer to the release of the Pulse Devil?

Hi Eric,
Just being at that area near Corfe Castle in Dorset would be a joy let alone finding a Roman coin. Looks like beautiful Country.
Thanks again for sharing,

Some years ago I saw a similar car. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
Not funny, definatively. <img src="/metal/html/indifferent.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":|">
Was in Luxembourg. Here we say: Just don't do MD in the woods, even if there are known sites. <img src="/metal/html/nono.gif" border=0 width=22 height=19 alt=":nono">
I learned not to enter the woods: found a german artillery grenade under 3!!! (Three!!!) cm of leaves. <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock">
Impressive the sound, when you hit the ground with your spade at 20 cm away of hidden target center: "Klonck!!!" <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">
After retrieving the leaves, I saw what it was and that I hit it at the wrong end, fortunately. <img src="/metal/html/super.gif" border=0 width=26 height=28 alt=":super">
I first went sick and then called the same type of guys laughing. <img src="/metal/html/razz.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":razz">
I think this is enough to say: Get informed about the area you want to hunt, if there were fightings or bomb drops in WWI and/orWWII, or any other modern war all over the world. Stay off if you are not familiar with the site. <img src="/metal/html/nono.gif" border=0 width=22 height=19 alt=":nono">
Even at nearly hunted out sites!
With the increasing performance of our MD's (thanks to many of you guys) we come in range of deeper situated ammunitions, and mostly the big ones. And, I agree that this one was not a deep one. <img src="/metal/html/sad.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":sad">
I can remember that I read nearly every year at least one article about where and how some guys blowed themselves up, and some straight in the woods.
Good luck to all!!
Paul
I am still MD'ing <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">
