deus 1 __ orx

I have an orx. I hunt trashy parks sometimes. Ive always wanted to try the deus 1. would it do any better IDing alum. trash?

I don't have an orc but it seems to me on the deus that all tones causes aluminum to sound more "shrill" than 3 tones making it easier to identify. You can also notch out some aluminum numbers if you wish, but I don't. It is also possible to go to 4 or 5 tones and adjust where they break. Some of the larger aluminum also drops in frequency a bit as you pull back with the coil in all tones.

I would strongly disagree. I have over a dozen modern detectors and don't find the Deus to be worse than any of them except certain Tesoros. One other thing that might help if you own a X35 coil would be to use 4khz as it tones down aluminum while enhancing silver and copper. Also a person can use tone breaks to isolate nickels and pennies and above. Give them high tones and everything else low or iron tones.

Picketwire is right. The Deus 1 with the x-35 coil is an excellent park machine. It's a killer on clad and silver. I run the 9" coil at 4khz a lot . The machine has paid for itself twice with just clad.

I may do a video for you and post here. Some thing for you to try. You may already know about. What I show with my Deus 2 hf2 coil running mono program may indeed behave like your coil on ORX. I know your coil installed on Deus 1 WON’T do this. Because I have thst setup.
I’ll post video and you can try and see how your coil with ORX behaves.

Btw if your coil on your ORX control behaves like my hf 2 coil usi;g mono progrsm. Modern trash sites. This can help a whole lot.
