Deus charging question

Member
seemingly silly question...but I've always lacked in electronics knowledge....especially when it comes to batteries

Is there any reason i can't use one of those USB lithium ion battery portable backup power packs to recharge the Deus? if all coil and remote (and headphones that i don't have) all use a 650mAh battery, one of those 10000mAh packs should give me several full charges.

I want to take mine backcountry with me and wont have access to power for a few days....

I'm assuming is safe but just want to make sure nothing will explode :)

Some folks here use what you are talking about.

Seems most packs I've seen have 2.0 amps output.

I wouldn't make a habit of using,,,but to use to get one out of a bind,,I would.

If the battery pack has a USB port on it it should be fine. Ive recharged my Deus components several times with one and had no problems. But you could call Moe at detector electronics and ask him. He does the repairs on all US Deus'.
