Deus II is worth its salt

I’ve used my new Deus 2 four times and am really pleased with it. The overall user experience is much enhanced and it performs as advertised in my opinion. I’ve been hunting an old site for 5 years now with the Deus 1 and other machines, and it has given up some really nice finds, but seemed to be hunted out. I thought I’d see what the D2 could do, and I was impressed. Using the Fast program modified to 3 tones, where the buildings were razed, I found this 1837 Province of Lower Canada half penny bank token. Such a pure high tone in the midst of all that iron. It’s a beautiful thing. Using the Deep HC program in the field, I found the Indian head, and a pretty cool Grand Rapids & Indiana Railroad stamp and a few older wheats.

I will say that the Deep HC program loves iron. Even with Silencer at 3, I was getting repeatable 86-88 on deep nails. There’s an iron tone on both sides of the signal but at this site, IDs that high are gonna get dug.

Much to learn still but enjoying the journey so far.
