Deus numbers for GOLD?

unearth

Member
I would like to get some feedback from people who have found gold/plat. with their Deus. I'd like to know the id number and the kHz you were using. And whether id norm was on or off. Thanks in advance.

Ouch! Thats a tough one...so many sizes, weights and all concerning gold/plat?...if a person did a vid on a specific item or several, including chains...that would be what you need..right? Is this what you are asking, or is it in relation to gold nuggets? I look forward to hearing a reply from a serious dirt gold/plat jewelry hunter that has found the right settings that the Deus allows for such an ambitious and focused endeavor...clarify your intent, and I bet somebody here can help you get pointed in the right direction....

This is about as good as I could find for you. Note, this is with version 3.1 and it's air testing, not ground testing but the numbers should be ballpark. You're looking at the xy screen--the VDI will be in the upper right of the screen.

The reason for my question is because I air tested several rings and pendants and the numbers ran the gambit from high 30's (37,3:geek: to 85 using 12 kHz. So, I was trying to make a gold program, but since the range is so large and the only numbers 86 through 99 are left I was hoping that I could find out how often a gold item was found beyond, say, 80 or 75. But, it seems no matter how you try to eliminate some numbers, you're going to possibly miss something. Unless you only want to find silver, it seems, you have to almost dig everything to find the gold/plat.

I am going to be doing some gold searching in Az. and am wondering what type of settings I should be using or any ball park figures or suggestions. I will be with a group on a know gold claim so the potential is there to find some so any help would be appreciated thank you

Yes, you really do have to 'dig it all' within reason....some gold hunters dig certain 'locations' where theres a good likelyhood of finding gold/plat jewelry, that seems to be the best strategy...some just go sheer volume and dig it all (beach/water) and they are successful as well...others have put together some nice graphs about the size and signal parameters around the 'most lost' gold items...those being 2-4gr Womens rings and they dig a lot of foil/nickels...

So its a real mix of the above disciplines that change from location to location...strategy...a person has to think...we are looking for gold dropped pre 1975....thats when this Country had an abundance of married people, gold class rings, and everyone recreated outside...now if you look at the lost and found section of your local Craigslist..today most gold is lost in stores, restaurant bathrooms, and parking lots...so give those melting snowpiles a sweep this spring..

A guy intent on chasing gold should read as many posts by the repeatably successful gold hunters..if you dont have access to a beach and hunt the dirt, REVIER has some great posts, gives a lot of detail about the signal, depth, settings and even aerial pictures of the parks where he finds it...He's is already on a roll this year...Tabman gets his share using the 'dig it all' strategy in old dirt areas...you will see a pattern to their madness emerge and may be able to duplicate a modified version in your area and settings...
Good Luck!

I have only used the Deus gold program once and don't remember whether it uses a threshold or not ,although I do believe it does , I do remember that it alters the function of the pinpoint button for quick ground balancing which is essential in the mineralized dirt you usually find gold in. I bring that up because if you are nugget shooting you will want to dig and investigate every signal right down to pronounced fluctuations in the threshold sounds. Small native gold and micro jewelry share the common trait of being detected and identified as iron by most detectors in mineralized ground so the best tool you can buy to help in your endeavor is good rare earth magnet and mount it on your pick , shovel or a stick to pick out the iron chunks or hot rocks your going to undoubtedly encounter.

As far as gold jewelry goes , I ran a dozen or so rings/things I found over the Deus and came up with similar air test numbers as others who have posted,,,from 34 to 70 in 18khz. I have only found one gold ring with the Deus and it came in at 44
