Deus single usb cable

I seemed to have misplaced single usb cable for upgrading, but have a cable from ctx 3030 that looks
like it will work. It fits. Opinions before I plug it in?

Yes, the CTX3030 cable works for data and charging of the XP Deus.
So do most others that have the same cable ends work.

Thanks Jerry, David........just as a point of curiosity, why is the charging cable (three wire) for the
Deus not supposed to be used for upgrading per the instructions?

I don't know the answer, but I would think that only the charge pins are energized in the three cable charging cable.

The 3 way connector for the power seems a proprietary XP Deus product. It's dedicated to the supply of power for recharge purposes only.
I've tried all the micro usb connectors of the 3 way usb standard cable (hope there's no problem with telling anyone to say that I did). It simply won't work with data.
This is most probably because as HuntinDog mentions "only the charge pins are energized in the three cable charging cable".
It's worked out well for me and for other xp deus owners but why it is this way, is anyone's guess.

Thanks for that tidbit also.......elec./wiring etc. is not my strong suit. When pluging something it is not what
doesn't happen, but moreso unintended consequences that might happen.
