Deus Stock Programs-What Detector are they mimicking?

So I read a couple places that I think Basic 1 or 2 was like the AT Pro and another was mimicking another brand.......

So lets gather all the info in one place if possible........

What does the stock programs compare to or mimic ?

The GoldMaxx Power program on the Deus is pretty darn close to an actual GoldMaxx Power, Have both units and have compared the two with Deus using Goldmaxx Power preset. For me felt some minor tweaking was needed with the silencer and discrimination level with the Deus preset GoldMaxx Power program, After making these minor changes both were pretty darn close.

Lowered the silencer from 2 down to -1, Then lowered discrimination from 6.8 down to 5. What this did was enhance Deus GoldMaxx Power preset to operate more in line with an actual GoldMaxx Power. It's in iron target masking were I see the difference without these changes but once made both are now equal, After making these changes both models run close neck and neck in the thickest of iron. Now, If one wants to increase recovery speed even more of course you guys and gals already know this just increase the Reactivity feature.

That's about the only program I am aware of that mimics another detector, Still in the learning stages with the Deus and currently staying with what works for me so really haven't experimented with many programs.

Not sure where the rumor came from that the various Deus programs are designed to mimic other detectors from other brands but that was never the intention as XP's engineers worked on the software for the Deus.

There are features that were added at the request of those that used other machines such as the multi-tone option but each of the predefined programs are intended to make it easier for a current XP user coming from one of the other models to move up to the Deus or meet teh needs of specific demands.

I read it from a dealer (I think, maybe a post??) that one of the basics (1or2) mimicked the ATPro.....

I figured they had to base some programs off something, so other machines makes sense to me.......

"each of the predefined programs are intended to make it easier for a current XP user coming from one of the other models to move up to the Deus" kinda seems they are mimicking them, maybe not exact but based on them.....

Or am I totally screwed up?
LOL

Again, the only detectors that the Deus was trying to emulate was other XP models and not anything from the other manufacturers - this was done to make it easier for existing XP users to move up to the Deus but there is not attempt byu XP to mimic any other brand or model.

LOL we hear ya Andy....

But I will find the post or whatever saying that Basic 2 (or 1) was close to the ATPro, maybe not mimicking but seem to just be close to other machines....
