What can give us a detectorists with a pair of Professional Noise Canceling Earmuffs ?
Simple, a pair of waterproof headphones for DEUS metal detector
This project was born from the idea to try the deus in water, but without injuring the receiver if he fell into the water.
The receiver is protected and these headphones can also be used in the rain.
you need a pair of speakers taken from old headphones, a bit of foam, two small fairleads and an adapter like as explained here :

In the end, these headphones allow the use of DEUS at sea, in complete safety for electronics without having to use the remote but the receiver only.
Of course, avoid completely immerse the earmuffs in water, they are only waterproof, NOT diving.

Nice job, those look really good.

As a side note to those who don't want to try building their own: XP should be releasing their full size, over the head, headphones sometime in the near future. In the meantime, there have been some really creative solutions here on the forum lately.

Thanks for sharing -Marc

The Deus lends itself to so many changes, it is important to have imagination.:)
Headphones are easy to open with a little click, is obviously necessary to make the correct set up of receiver before closing.
