DFX 9.5 coil on a MXT

Hi all, has anyone every put a DFX 9.5 coil on a MXT? I have a nice DFX coil and it don't seam to work very good on my MXT. I think the coils will inter change, but with the DFX coil on the MXT don't get much depth and VDI's are off. Any help would be nice, thanks flintstone

Both detectors will use the Eclipse-Series of White's. And depth should be beyond a foot on a nickel using the MXT/950 combo in air with the gain at max.
How is the 950 doing on a DFX?

Hi Flintstone, which one do you have?
Pancake-style or x-style; White's had some issues with the pancake one and the new x-design ones have a lot more depth IMO.
Never had a problem with the x ones, eclipse or 6kHz.
Hopefully you can give it back.

When the "pancake" style goes out of null, it is not repairable but the X-style was repairable, by White's anyway. I don't know what Garrett is doing with repairs on White's equipment, especially coils.

Whites service is being done by Centerville Electronics, they have offices on the east and west coast. The west coast repairs are being done by the guy that was inhouse main tech. at the whites facility in SweetHome.
