Did Everyone Go Into Hibernation Mode?

Anyone hunting in February? Anyone made any finds recently? Anyone care to share any helpful discussion on the ATX?

So sorry, been too busy hibernating. -35F with windchill is just a bit too cold for any gold, unless it is in front of the fireplace.
Stay warm and enjoy....back to hibernating.

Been there, done that.
Awoke from hibernation dreaming due to the high temp...
Dreams of days gone bye:
Salt water as thick as a 7-11 Slushie - and would not "sift" out of the scoop.
Braking ice to detect under it.
So cold the waders became hard as ice cubes.
So cold pictures froze before being captured. I just hate that when I can't get the picture I really want.
So cold I had to carry around a hammer and chisel so I could dig out the gold from the swimming area.

At -40 degrees we can agree what the temperature is. It is the only temperature that Celsius and Fahrenheit are equal.

Temp is up to 48F slight rain but winds gusting to 35mph...ocean a bit too rough to keep dry today.

...going back until the winds die down and weather improves unless the 4th of July comes first.

Can't believe have been hibernating in New Zealand! (Well actually fishing etc) - so getting back on board now! Actually the beaches here have been totally sanded in lately and not overly exciting to hunt.... Hopefully that will change soon!

That was actually just me cleaning them out. There are no targets left

No wonder!!!! It is amazing how the weather and sand can change to much. I have been on several hunts without much luck and thick, deep sand.....so deep the ATX does not make a peep aside the odd pull tab;). Hopefully we will start to see some sand movement in the opposite direction!
