Did I read this right???

Pete in MI

While in Grayling tonight we thought we should stop somewhere to get something to eat. We found this place that was on a main street and just had never noticed before.

Here is part of the sign out front:

Did I read that right??? Bottle Cap Museum.

I was compelled to check it out.

Here are some of the bottle cap displays:

This might not be something one would pay to go into just to see 'the museum' but this place is GREAT. No not because of the bottle caps (but at least glad to see some people collected them instead of throwing them on the ground for us to find). What made this place rock what its atmosphere...a 1950s style diner inside. The music was Oldies. The names of the foods on the menu were named after songs of the 50s and 60.

It has a fountain area with all the trimmings. Decorations throughout this place was Coca-Cola.

Sherry and Casey posed for this shot. I love it when they get along so well together - Casey was singing to some of the oldie songs being played over the PA system. Food was great and good prices. Got me thinking how much I woul dlove to host a CMD Forum hunt up here so you guys could check this place out yourselves in person. (I did have 3 teeny bopper girls laughing at the 'old guy' taking pictures of bottle caps. I was their amusement. Bless their little heart and empty heads.

Will have to get you up here Warthog. Mike from MI and anyone else who wants to come up to hunt sometime let me know. I think I can find places to detect. I know of a great and reasonable priced lodge on the lake here in Houghton Lake.

Well, just thought you would love seeing some of the bottle cap museum. At least it is nice to know not all bottle caps got tossed to the ground.
