Same settings as before, 12.63 grams of 14k, that's number 4 for the month!

Was that one found near the island?
It sounds to be a great spot from your earlier finds.

So are you going to be Mr. Selfish and gather up all the gold before any of us get a chance to dig even one this year?
Sure seems like it!

Another huge pat on the back and congratZ!

Yes same spot, 3 mile walk, the water is now 6 inches deep I have to wade through. The clock is ticking on that spot lol. I narrowed down what I thought was a hot spot, and hunted it hard I found 23 quarters, 14 dimes, 8 Nickles, and a hand full of pennies. One nice (before the water ruined it) watch retails around 600 or so, man do I wish it wasn't ruined I would so wear it with pride! I am working so hard to get back out there, but Mother Nature is working hard to change that for me. Guys I can only say dig those pull tabs! This ring was in mixed with 8-10 tabs in an area the size of a coffee table, it rang up at 38-40 just like the tabs, and I had dug maybe 200 tabs already that day. You have to stay on track for big gold, you have to dig the junk and trash to get the big gold.

Good job!

I've been avoiding tab signals until our ground dries some more. Seems we get some nasty false signals because of the wet soil. Bad enough to have as much iron as we do.

Clean up those spots. You want to hear from those smaller targets too.

That's the one thing that bother me about the F70, is I am not finding any small gold. Not sure if I am missing it or its just not there.

If it's small enough, deep enough, or your soil bad enough, (or some combination) could it be Disc'd out at 15?

Anyway, congrats on the shiny stuff - you're killing it!!

Maybe your right, I have scanned small rings and an ear ring or two, and seems like I should be ok at 15, but I will double check it and see. The shear amount of trash in these locations makes it hard to go much lower with the disc.

You could take the discrimination to 4, gain the little boost, and run the threshold a little more negative to thin out the chatter. Mirror the settings in all metal on the 2nd program to clean out those hot spots with less trash.

Just a thought.

I have never messed with the All Metal mode, my head can only take so much noise... lol I can try to lower the disc, but I am afraid it will really let in those fired 22lr and super small bits of led and foil. At the moment I am digging almost everything, if it will lock in on a TID number without too much jumping around. I figured just digging more increase my gold chances considerably.

That's exactly what the prospectors are looking for when it comes to small gold. If you are picking up the bullets and old casings, you will be able to find the small rings and earrings.

Nice. Nice . Nice !!!
