Did some testing with my Ace 250

Pulled out some of mine and the wife's jewelry to see where they hit on the TID. Some results were suprising. I'll try to do an individul break down w/ weights/ k / TID locations. Some rings thay were pretty big hit as foil? Most fell in the nickle range. If I have time I'll drag out some more and do a detailed breakdown by K/Wgt/Size.

This post got me thinking so I tried a few rings with my ACE 250 to see what they ID as. In the jewelry mode the 250 mostly hit in the pull tab region with two rings at nickel. Keep us informed
R-n-R what you find with your tests.

I wonder how close all Ace detectors read things. Mine separates zinc, copper cents and dimes pretty well.
Yeah, John. Mine not only does that, but when a zinc penny is eaten up pretty badly, it will bounce back and forth from zinc to square tab(first notch before zinc), letting you know it's in bad shape. 'Course, keys and some rings do, also. Mine also reads "dime" on large targets and when I raise the coil to size it and determine it's way too big , I also use the "dime" reading to verify a large target.
