...the bull lead the whole herd of about 20 cows towards me and a buddy. He was scratching the dirt and snorting and making quite a fuss at us so we slowly backed our way to the gate and to safety. The owner of the farm saw us and got a good laugh at our cowardness. He said they just thought we were there to feed them!!

Once we were searching a farm with several horses in the pasture but they kept their distance. We were looking for Cival War relics and I got a good hit and started chipping away at the dry, hard earth. I was really concentrating on recovering the target when all of a sudden my ball cap came off my head. A horse had walked up to me from behind and gently gave me a nuzzle knocking my cap off. I was so startled I about rolled over backwards when I turned to look into the face of that horse. Seeing he wanted attention I patted him and rubbed his nose a bit, a big mistake, because he then followed me all over that field wanting more attention!!

we would all have a new record time in the mile!
