Dig those big signals

Syd BC

New member
This afternoon I went down to the city beach for some water detecting. Good targets are hard to find at this time of year and after an hour I had just 35 cents and a lot of trash. When I got a loud signal, I knew it was another beer can about a foot deep. I already had two beer cans in my trash pouch but I could stuff in another one so I dug it up. Well I was right that it was a foot deep but wrong about the beer can. When I shook out the sand, the bottom of my scoop was covered with coins. I was reminded of that old saying "you never know until you dig it"

Total coin spill $10.80
Total finds today $11.58

Good luck everyone.

Nice work! Great reminder....I've hit those big coin spills in waist deep water where somebody stood on their head and they all fell out of their pocket...You are right, makes for one big nasty signal...:clapping:

Great find, Keep showing us how it's done.

Sweet pile of coin goodness Syd!! Makes a fellow wish USgov would mint 1 & 2 dollar coins for circulation here:shrug:

Good coin spill total. Congrats .

It's a blast to dig large signals. I get boat anchors, lighters, watches, large rings, a machine gun magazine and a few WW1 practice bombs. I NEVER turn one down. Sure most are trash BUT you just never know.

Nice coin spill

Good score Syd. :clapping: Won't be much left for the rest of us at that speed.
Cheers
