FG,
Myself and another guy on this forum emailed them and got a copy of the manual. Very impressive and looks legit, but until I have one in my hands out in the field it's anybodys guess. I've yet to find someone that actually owns one and Eric Foster I don't think knows either.

I had Posted about this unit awhile back to see if anyone knew anything about it. From the Post above it sounds like they have come out with a new Model. The one I have the link to is the GP 2002 A. It seems that there is also a GP 2002 P. Anyway here is the link to the "A" Model.

It looks like the company that makes the Argus has been in business a long time and makes a lot of advanced electronic detection systems! Here's a link to thier main page.

Hi Beachcomber,
I remember your old post but couldn't link up at the time. Yes, seems they have upgraded to a newer model and they are an old legit company. Be nice to have the money to buy and try one. Might be better than anything Minelab has now. Never know. Thanks for the reply.

I would really like to be able to try one out myself!!!!
Hopefully someone on the Forum will give one a whirl and let us all know how it performs.

Hi All,
I know the company and have dealt with them many years ago. I will contact them today to see if it is possible to have one on loan for a test.
Eric.

Hi Eric,
That will be great if you can aquire one of those units. Wonder if they have an english only version for the touchpads?
I've been talking to Steve Roberts on the Titan Project which won't be ready for about 6-7 months.
Steve said the Garrett PI has been released for production which I'm sure you already know.
I would like to see a lot of competition in the PI field which I'm sure would bring about better technological advances to the hobby.
Have you heard anything about thermal imaging being used in conjunction with microwave technology for ore, oil and underwater exploration? Military stuff I hear.
Lets see, the microwave heats up the gold nugget and the thermal sees it at size and depth? Sounds good, like Buck Rogers when I was a kid.
Well back to the real world. I hope Garrett and a few others give Minelab some real competition.
Do you have anything in the fire?
Thanks to all for the feedback!
FG

I hope they allow you to try one out!!!!
Thanks
