Digital readout

Hey Fellas, I've been using my XII for awhile now & until now, I've not used the digital. The manual says not to count on it, because it may not be accurate. But, I've been reading alot that most users are using it.

Do ya'll find it to be helpful?
I'm expecially having trouble finding nickles & gold. Where do they come in digitally & how accuarate is it?
