Dilemma

Hi All
I wonder if any of you have a solution to my dilemma. On my local beach there are quite a few very large iron objects, i think because or the signal that they are probably railway sleepers. The beach is well used in the summer and is reasonably productive which leads me to think there are targets close to these lumps of iron. My detector is screaming when I get any where near them, Is there a setting or technique to tackle the problem i have described. I am using an Explorer and I have a Gold Quest PI.
I would be grateful for any suggestions as long as they are not to rude

A smaller coil and less Gain might help here but Big Iron is a problem for any setup.. The PI is out, just too hot on Iron..... HH...Geo
