Dirtfishing in Connecticut - April 16th, 2011 - Small pocket spill @ cellar hole

Hello all!

I headed back to the site that yilded the 1853 Half Dim the previous day... the first two hours were... lackluster and uneventfull wih little to nothin in my bag...

1st keeper was what appears to be half of an old dog tag...

I stopped a about 12:30 to grab a snack fom my car an finish my coffee then stared to work a line towards the front of the barn and 30 feet from my car... 12/40 turn 90 deg... 12/42... Get up a plug...

It was petty clan outta the hole... I did not heck for friends... I was just happy to find a good keeper... I returned the dirt stood up... signal... in the dirt on the ede of the hole was a green penny...

Congrats Paul. Those are two very beautiful Barber dimes. Too bad the 1909 wheat didn't have an S mintmark - then you'd really be on cloud 9. It looked like a great hunt anyway.
