I started running my machine in Disc. 5 yesterday just to try it. As some may know, this puts the machine in a High Gain mode and I had to throttle down the Sens. to 65-70 or it spazzed out. I was running it in 10-15 Disc. and 75-85 Sens before.
The nice thing about the High Gain is it gives you something to listen to between targets as it picks up more ground minerals. The iron gives a lower grunt and the good stuff sounds more crisp, not muddy as before. My settings for fields is now De or Pf, Notch 1, Disc. 5, Sens. 65-75 and 2 Tones. I didn't like the 3 or 4 Tones as it was giving me a high tone too often and I had to re-swing over a target to check it. I can tell when I have hit something good in 2 Tones by the intensityof that higher tone. The F75 has a bit of a learning curve but that's the case with all deep seeking machines. The more I use it, the more power I can give it and I reckon I'm still running it at only half it's potential. RonNH
