Display cover for Equinox

TinCanBeach said:
Bought a Deanos cover for the 800 ($23) and it’s a perfect fit. Controls are easy to use.
The screen is easy to see.

Do you have any trouble with the side buttons on the 800 with this cover??

No problems for me with the side buttons with this cover for me. Well built and nice fit.

I made my display cover myself. I got end pieces of heavy clear vinyl at Walmart
The kind used as clear table cover or 1960's style sofa covers.
I cut a paper template first covering the whole front and sides, and large
Tabs that connect in back of the display with sewn on Velcro with it fitted
And on I marked the location of the side buttons then cut the openings with
A razor blade. I don't use the Minelab ones at all.

This makes for a nice full cover that is not hard to make and
Protects the whole pod not just the LCD display. It's easily taken on and
Off to wipe it clean or dry it if it gets wet. The vinyl can reflect sunlight
But I haven't been bothered by it. Oh and being made of only clear vinyl
It really isn't noticeable that there is a cover on it at all.
