I'm looking to upgrade from my my stock Excalibur "S" shafts to something a bit more ergonomic. My plan now is to eliminate the entire aluminum upper and run a one piece carbon fiber rod the full length from the coil to the control housing. Has anyone here made any custom shafts for diving? I'm especially interested in seeing those for the Excal, but pictures of other models may give me ideas as well. Thanks in advance. John.

Looks like a nice setup! Did you purchase this or is it your own design?

Also do you think the double upper setup is necessary or would mounting the Excal components all on the top upper be possible?
