DIY large coil adapter

I recently purchased a slightly used 11 X 13 coil. After reading posts on it being toe heavy I also noticed this to be the case. At first I turned the coil 180 with the notch in front and it swung better and was more balanced. I decided to try my hand at a DIY solution to the one that is being sold. I used electrical conduit parts from Home Depot consisting of a 1/2 inch dia. offset tube and a 90 degree box which I modified and seems to work quite well. Cost was around 4 bucks for them and an extra set of coil hardware from Ebay for around 8 bucks. See the attachment drawings for the before and after design. I'm not an expert draftsman but you can see it should be somewhat forgiving and cheap enough to redo if mistakes are made. After making the cuts, I bonded the parts using pvc cement and further fit them to the coil by filing and cutting so it would set between the coil mounts and trimmed until I was satisfied the fit was where it should be and then marked and drilled the tube for the coil bolt. Hope this helps those that were needing one, etc.

A similar design has been in use for the last 2-3 years and called the 'Swarfy Block' it was designed and made by a called called Swarfy hence the name,it was a great success and he did sell a few but in the last year or so i think he has stopped making them,i am guessing since the release of the 11'' coil came out folks seem to buy more of this coil rather than the larger coil.

It does make a big difference albeit not perfect but you are aware that its not so nose heavy.
