Do the G2 and T2 use the same coils?

I read on another forum that the Gold Bug Pro and F75 coils were interchangeable so how about the G2/T2?

No thy don't .
Also the F75 coil is not meant to use on the Gold Bug.
Some people are trying different coils that may or may not work.

The only coils made by First Texas for the G2/GB are the same, 5 and 11in DD coils.
The DD coil for the Greek series , Gamma and Omega also work.

The only thing I tried that works on the F series Fishers was the FX-1 Sunray inline probe, it worked fine in the field on the G2 and GBSE, I'm just not a real fan of inline probes. Also the stock Omega coil will work on the G2, I just have not tried it in the field, I like the 11"DD better..............MO

Thank you both. I did not even see the sticky at the top of the forum.
Ive got an F75 and was leanding towards the Gold Bug but I do like the G2s handle setup better. Performance Ive read is about the same so I will have to read up a little more.

The Delta 4000 and the Omega 8000 also interchange with the Gold Bug SE & probably with the G2 as I don't have a G2. Just swapped them out a while ago. Put the 8" Delta on the Gold Bug and it really worked good. Put the 5" that came on the Gold Bug SE on the Delta 4000. It also works good. ....Jack
