Do you belong to a MD club or not???:detecting:

I found a club 10 miles away from me, and I was wondering if you were associated with a MD club?

Midwest Coinshooters & Historical Club and really enjoyed attending meetings and hunting with members, but haven't since a year or so, as I have trouble seeing at night and due to health problems I don't hunt much any more. The dues were raised and since I really couldn't participate in the meetings or club hunts I'm no longer a member! Roy Volker, the Chairman of the Board who started the club as White's Coinshooter & Historical Club in Jan 1980, passed away not too long ago and will be truly missed. He was a coinshooter, a deep-sea diver with his own boat at one time, and treasure hunted off many sea-shores across the ocean. I was secretary of the club back while I was married, but divorced in 1988 and eventually stopped going to the meetings. (because of poor health & night-blindness)

Hope you enjoy your club and Happy Hunting in detecting!

God Bless!

I am the president of the Southwest Michigan Seek & Search Club. Tonight is our club meeting. We have one of the biggest clubs in the US.
Check out or web site at: swmss.org

No - I was a charter member of the local one many years ago but dropped out after a while for various reasons. steve in so az

.........yep, wish I could.

I would probably have to start one in my hometown if I wanted to attend meetings.
( Not a bad idea someday )

I was one in Cincinnati once when Ilived there.

The best part was......it kept me motivated to get out when
I saw all the good stuff displayed by others every meeting.

Why not try a meeting?
You just may like it.
God luck........see ya mark

I wouldn't mind joining a club but really do not have any nearby. My wife and I are thinking of starting a non-denominational Christian Metal Detecting/Bottle Collecting club. We live in a pretty historic area of central NY state. We have a small building that would be great for meetings. I was already in the process of converting it from my shop to my research center where I could hang some large historic maps. I have most every historic map dating back to 1828 and almost every history book from the 1800's about our area and surrounding counties. I have learned that research is very important to this hobby. We actually discovered information on a large cave nearby that no-one seems to know about and look forward to checking it out after the thaw!

Some but not all the members seem to have an aversion to other peoples property rights. Plus their meeting is on Wed. nights and I work with children in our church's AWANA then.
Not all areas are the same, have at it.

If I can help in any way let me know!

Thanks Mike, will do, appreciate the offer! Tim

That list clubs. I will see what I can find for ya!

in OH right? There are at least 5.

I belonged to the same one Mike from MI is president of (SWMS&S club). It was a long haul when I lived in Lansing. Now it is too far to make any meetings  and I know of no clubs up here. The one near Alpena MI has never responded to any emails I sent to them. Heard there might be one in Midland MI but not sure if there are real meetings or just a website.

No other clubs I know of.
