Hi Joe - I hunt 90% tot lots in parks & schools, up to almost 9,000 coins for this year. Years ago it was opposite - I did old sites 90% but now everything is built over. Still, once in a while an old site opens up - I have dug 32 silver coins this year, several back into the 1800's , so keep your eyes open steve in so az

When I did detect, I hunted mostly public sites, but did ask to do some private places too! Either a detecting friend would ask or I would ask and it usually turned out okay.....sooooo if the person with private property wants a percentage then make the deal ahead of time and don't let them take the first pick!!!!! Most will take the best finds! Go find those goodies JOE! Good luck and God Bless!

about 75% private 25% public..............old houses are just my favorite, we don't really have any old parks here, and the parks we have are not busy, I have picked the tot lots clean and they are not re-seeding....lol
