could tell us exactly where they hit on the XS screen. Perhaps this has been posted in the past and I just missed it?
I see how I phrased that and just to clarify I know gold coins can't talk.

Im not sure... but magic man did a post for the SE that might equate to the XS. $2.5 = 08-10, $1 = 08-04, and the $10 = 07-07. You might get a coin dealer to let you pass a couple over the coil.

Gold Currency--------Ferrous---Conduct. ---- This is what the signal would sound like if you were using CONDUCT Sounds.

1 Dollar-------------------08 ------- 04 ----- Sounds similar to a beaver tail or piece of small aluminum; very close to a US nickel in tone
2.5 Dollars--------------08 ------- 10 ----- Sounds like a pull tab.
5 Dollars----------------07 ------- 22 ----- Sounds like an Indian Head penny or newer Zinc penny.
10 Dollars-------------07 ------ 27 ----- Sounds like a screwcap or copper memorial penny.
20 Dollars------------04 ----- 29 ----- Sounds like a quarter/silver dime.

Hey hey well I was reading the post and figured I would contribute my thoughts. Its all good to take a certain target and and air test it for a general sound, but not to say the same as it would be in the ground. What of other targets that may be near by, or changes in the ground and such. Just my thoughts HH L8R.

Hey Captn-se, I'm not in front of my gold coins right now, but I do see a glitch in one of your "sounds likes": A $5 is lower than a zinc or IH. If a person were to use the Whites scale (0 to 95), IH's and zincs read in the mid 60s, but a $5 gold reads at about 49 to 50-ish (a hair above the beefier sturdy style of square tabs). Perhaps a zinc would read at $5, if the zinc were corroded though........

Yeah, Tom, I believe you're right. I believe the $5 gold will sound slightly lower than an Indian head or zinc penny. Very similar to a US silver 3 cent piece. (7 Ferrous, 22 Conductive).
