Does anyone have a saltwater beach program they could share for an EX II?

Frank,

Try the following as a "Start Point"! Experiment at your location/s as one setting or sound might be better than another. There are many things to be considered at different beach locations in different parts of the country, different countries. Some beaches may have a higher saline/deep sand content than antother. Winter storms might either remove the sand or fill it with more sand. That can almost guarantee that any finds will be very deep. There can be rocks and pebbles underneath a layer of sand - that could make it more difficult for the detector to acheive a run point - might have to reduce sensitivity to stabilise. Look out for sources of "noise", light houses, fishing fleets, satellite TV's on beach-front homes etc.

The following is a programme I load into Explorer

i use andy's gold program in july/aug/sept. with some add ins and some rejects.................

i switch around alot using IM 16 and IM 2...........i really like IM 2

keep in mind beach and water only (damp sand beach tooo)

i will copy des's program with what i use

I see you have the 10" as well as the 8" stock... What about the Platypus? I'm thinking of asking Santa to bring me one. While I hunt the beach during the summer / winter (and have no problem with the stock coil), I also like digging dirt during the spring and fall. Trash can be a problem in some areas and I'm looking for better separation without the loss of depth. Opinion? Platypus or go for an 8" or 5"... something else?
