This man made it harder for everyone in the Naples area to hunt around the Pier in the water.This man was MD's in the water atNaples pier on Monday morning 10/05/09 went under the pier and was caught cutting fishermans lines,now those of you that hunt here while on vacation or live in Naples, be warned keep away from the pier. I do work for the Beach Patrol and this is what they said.It only take one to screw it up for everyone else.

Don't know your Pier or water conditions in your area, just doesn't sound right. Seems the guy would have to been scuba diving to cut lines. here don't know of any fisherman or woman that fishes within the first sand bar. being a fisherman myself at times what in the world would you catch in that shallow water in the first place. My question would be did someone come up and throw a line at him?
I have actually had a weighted line with hook thrown from a pier at me and I was on the wet bank, I was not happy about that. The two on the pier though it was funny, so I know it happens!

Good point, Sandpiper, one of the reasons I stay away from piers. I wonder also if he may have gotten himself caught up in a line or two and cut himself free? Just kind of hard to believe the guy, who was probably intent on finding gold, decided to have some sick fun and start cutting fishing lines for no reason. Not saying it didn't happen though and if it did I hope he gets caught. But still hard to understand.
