Does God's Grace Blot Out The Law?

Jesus answers this question for the Jewish people in Matthew at the beginning of his ministry Matt. 5:17-48 and brings it up a notch for those that think that they have kept the Torah. Now breaking the commandments is about our heart condition and not external acts.
The council at Jerusalem in Acts 15 gives the instructions for the gentile believers.
This is part of what Peter said
Acts 15:8-11 "And God, Who knows the heart, testified when He gave the Holy Spirit to them(heathen) just as also to us(Jews)and nothing differentiates between us and them, since He cleansed their hearts by faith. Now therefore why are you tempting God by placing a yoke on the necks of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were strong enough to bear? But we believe that we are saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as also they are."
Verse 24 of Acts 15 tells of what happens to your inner being with the wrong teaching.
24: Since we heard that some who came out from us, whom we had not ordered, disturbed you with their messages, tearing down your inner beings.

28-29 for it was considered by the Holy Spirit and by us to place no more burden on you except these necessary things to abstain from meat offered to idols and from blood and strangled animals and immorality, you will do well to keep yourselves from these.
Now the Holy Spirits job.

John 16:8 And when that One comes He will expose the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment.
