Does the E-Trac have the same "fluty" tones as the Explorer?

By "fluty" I mean multiple tones (or an arpeggio)... or does it give more of a single high tone. I realize it will have different tones, high and low but I am talking about a single target, for example a quarter. On a quarter does it give a single high tone or a string of tones like the Explorer?

Thanks,

J

Funny you mention arpeggio - it's not quite one on the Explorer, but I see there are some options on the ET. What they should have done was to map to the 7 notes of the major scale as an option - would have been a lot easier on the ears - also the timbre of the tone should have been changeable or mappable to different areas of the screen. God there's so many cool things that would make this unit off the scale - no pun intended!

Do you mean that you have only hunted in conductive or that it only has those tones in conductive? I much prefer the tones of the SovereignGT, the SE has always confused me with all the tones. The ground here is really bad with iron ore and of course the good places have plenty of trash. I have to run my SE with the sens at 14-15 with the Slimline and I can run 20-21 with the Pro coil but I still get an awful lot of chatter. I have to run the sens on my SovGT at about 1:00 to keep it stable but it only signals on a target. IT seem's much more stable that the SE. From what I am reading it sounds like the E-Trac has the stability of the Sovereign with the power of the Explorer. I just hope it has more stable audio in bad ground... I hate that "fluty" stuff... just give me a low or high tone or any tone... but only one per target please

I am excited about the E-Trac!!!

In ferrous-iron is a low blat, everything else is a higher tone but not multi like the conductive sounds...thus far meaning that maybe there is a way that I do not know of yet to make it work like that but I have hunted in both sound modes.

Force it to give up some sounds.

Several dollars and halfdollars scattered around should throw the sounds up there and make a nice song.

I have used conductive for most of the time I have had my SE. I only in the last few weeks switched to ferrous and AM. I have not had the chance to use it much since then and had not realized that it only did that in conductive but now that I think about it I realize that it's been better. I am still going to sell it and get an E-Trac. I really like a fast processor. That is the onky thing, IMO, that the F75 had over the SE... the recovery speed. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

Thanks for sharing all your thoughts on this new machine.
