does the f-70 have a backlight?

No.... I used to think it would be nice to have, but after a short while you dont even look at the screen anymore...and since it saves your previous settings, a guy can hunt in complete darkness with no trouble at all..
i have a little led light I clip to the front of my shirt if I think I may need it, but seldom even leave the vehicle with it.

I rarely hunt at night, but for the few times I do I bought this and it is one of the smartest things I ever purchased.
Clips to any hat brim and aim it exactly where you need to, it has a red light for stealth and a bright white light that makes it look like daylight and an even brighter white light setting you don't even need.
About $15 at WallyWorld when I bought it 3 years ago.
