Does your SE sound like this?

After about two times out with my SE I noticed when I turned it on it would go through the boot-up tone, then go directly into an erratic fit for about 5 or 6 seconds before it would find a stable or unstable threshold tone. Neither of my other Explorers do this. I never hunt in Semi-Auto. Always Manual Sensitivity between 20-28 and usually wide open in ferrous tones. Anyone else experience this with their new SE?

That is normal when booting up in manual sensitivity. The Explorer XS and II also do it.
