I found some dog tags in my sisters yard she did a little research and found the family of the owner and called them, turned out there grandpa who was a ww2 vet who was still alive lost them about thirty years ago strange thing was he has never been to the town where i live so how they got there is a mystery. a few weeks later i told my younger brother who also metal detects the story and he said he heard on the news on a radio station about a ww2 vet who got is dogtags back after thity years by a guy who found them metal detecting my brother lived in oregon at the time and the ww2 vet and his family lives oregon also so i think my return made the news hh
