These finds are not today’s finds almost a month ago. My son and his wife bought a very nice 1880s Victorian home I have permission to hunt but my daughter in law is not crazy about me digging in front yard . The house has one of those front porches you can almost standup under it has a lattice to enclose the whole porch so I decided that’s the place to hunt original dirt no back fill. I thought I’d at least find a coin or two . The very first thing I found was a child’s ring the only other thing was what at first looked like a old pocket watch but it had old paper inside no watch works . I think it’s a Christmas ornament that had a picture in it . I found some on line that looked similar . No coins but I had a good time down under.

That could still be a watch case, the larger loop on top would be for the chain to the vest button. Still, neat finds and betting more there.
