Drunk as a hoot owl

I found this stick pin / hat pin in a field that was used to hold religious camp meetings from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. You will notice that he is wearing a scarf across the top of his head (the knot is on his right shoulder), head hung down, left wing drooping, and a bottle protruding from under his right wing. Obviously a drunk hoot owl. Could this have been a symbol for a temperence movement? Shown with the owl is a couple of other finds from the same site for size comparison. Any help will be appreciated.

Please resize your picture to 640x480 so we can see it too! Sounds interesting!!
Good thing the pin wasn't showing "sh!t-faced drunk", LOL! I still wanna see it though...
HH,
Jim

I can't seem to be able to figure out how to send a photo. Someone please tell me how. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?"> <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?"> <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

... and it wants to be really really wide.
Open your photo in MSPaint (start>programs>accessories>paint). Resize the image to 640x480 and save it as a .jpg file. Then post it here.
Or if you have XP, download powertoys and get the photo resizer. From it, you can right click and resize very easily.
Good Luck!
Jim
