DRY SUIT from Winter Water Hunting

This is for Joeb1999 who I said I would send him some photos of my DRY SUIT that I use once I go into deeper waters past my Cabela Boots.Sorry about opening up a new post.

Thats a Richards 1887 Coach Gun, theres a weakness in the neck of the stock, crack and one of the hammers need to be soldered or replaced, crack on the top of the hammer which bent the hammer to the side.Got it from an Estate Sale paid $90 for it,Barrel is very sound, no pitting anywhere so is the locking mechanism.Planning to send to a near by gunsmith to have those repaired. When I first saw it I was looking for a Wells Fargo Logo.I,m thinking it could of been used say at a Saloon , or maybe the town Sheriff or some Outlaw

Cool. I was thinking about a dry suit, never used one though. Are they better than a wetsuit? If you do long hours detecting is it hard to go for a pee? What should I check if I get one second hand. I guess I'll need wore weight than I do for wetsuit to? Any advice, please....

If you have an authenic Richard's may not want to do anything to it. I have one with the wire barrels. Sorry! Nice suit. HH :minelab:

Yeah its better than a wet suit for winter hunting and cold areas of the US.Well when I go hunting I usually don,t eat or drink, I stay out like 3 hours straight before I take a break, there are rest rooms at the park, just slip off your suit off the head ( they have a real tight rubber grip, the less hair you have on your head the better :))))) and thats it. Ive actually never used it totally submerged, never needed to go that deep to find my goodies.Another is the zipper on the back, its really big and tight so if you want to go under you NEED to have another person with you to zipper that up.If you buy it used you need to check for leaks, they give you a few weeks warranty. Mine had been customed made, Whites from Canada. They should be on the most part of very good quality even if used since not many are made and you don,t get anything that saids China or Mexico.Probably by checking the outer wear, color fading and scraps which says that it was heavily used. Mines a Whites.Yes I think you would since when I was getting above waist high you begin to feel the water picking you up the bottom floating up.

Nope Hershey, justa W Richards, not a Wesley Richards, American copy made of the British gun, probably made by Cresent that made alot copies from other companies for the ordinary american townfolk , still its 1887 and its a shooter ( have 2 boxes of Black powder Cartridges made in England by Gamebore Cartridge Company that cost more than the shotgun,
