Dual Field Settings help!!!

makahaman

Member
Just got my dual field and been in the water hunting. Noticed that it is making lots of noise like everytime I swing it it goes beep. What setting should be used to tone it down or should does the dual field stay noisey? Any suggestions is much appreciated! Aloha

Crank the gain up and control the noise with threshold. I turn my gain all the way up and then turn the threshold to where i just get a light amount of noise when swinging. I have been using mine for 6 months and consider myself an expert with the detector. Get yourself a big, big, big scoop. You must dig everything, there is no absolute way of determining targets of value. Depth and alignment of coins and jewelery can vary the sound and response of the detector so greatly that anything will and can sound like a bottle cap.
