Dues Continues to deliver on silver from hard hunted sites

Went out hunting Saturday in a 200 foot curb at a local college campus where my buddies and I have pulled two walkers, one silver quarter, two merc's, a sterling hair beret, a couple of buffalo nickels, and a pile of wheaties. I was seeing what the Deus could find that had been missed by other machines.

I got a multiple indications of 88-89 in a short distance and knew I at least had a penny. Dug a wheatie. Swept again and dug a second wheatie. Swept again and thought I had another wheatie. I was surprised by a 1942 Merc. Silver #92 for the year and silver #5 for the Deus. I am hunting a modified basic 1 with sensitivity set to 95 and Reactivity set to 3.

This area has been hunted by many people including me. When we found the first silver we pounded this area. It is the same area I found my Merc. last weekend.

I made sure it is clean now.

HH!

Congrats on the silver. Thanks for the info. on your settings also. How deep were your recoveries?

Nice job ten speed! Have you tried a lower reactivity setting? Your depth will increase and still be super fast recovery.

Dirt Angler, The coins were from 1" to 5" in a sandy clay soil. The Merc was the deepest.

Bart, That is something I will try. I shifted from the 2 reactivity setting to 3 to ensure I didn't miss anything in the iron infested area without impacting it too much. I am still getting comfortable with this new machine and need to find something deep like I am used to getting with my ETrac to really get comfortable. I do like this machine with the fast recovery and am getting used to the tones it gives me. I still rely on the readout to back up what I thought I heard.
